Ministry of Self Development has responsibility to promote conducive environment for personal and organization capacity development through leadership promotion, research, character building and skill knowledge enhancement, This Ministry has regular function to conduct internal training for PUSU and also gain student aspiration for PUSU and PUSU Events.

1. COACHING CLINIC

24 APRIL 2013 and 25 SEPTEMBER 2013

Coaching Clinic is the way for help college students, to solve the internship problem. The aimed is to help the Students of President University to progress their ability and performances into capable employment, guide and encourage participants to develop their confidence and employability skills, and offer appropriate information, advice and guidance to help them overcome their barriers to work. Certificate and personal report will be given to all participants as the evaluation of their abilities. Personal report includes scores of participants' performances, and the way to improve the lack of it in brief will be provided.

2. ENGLISH WORKSHOP

16th -18th May 2013

English Workshop ‘Write Like A Master!’ is an internal-external event, the purpose of the event is to develop students’ English skills, specifically in the area of written English which are Academic English such as writing essays, reports, and theses; Business English which covers on how to write business letters, résumés, and application letters; and General English which focuses on common mistakes or common errors in terms of structures, vocabularies, and grammar that students usually do in their everyday-life writing.

3. PRESIDENT UNIVERSITY YOUTH LEADERSHIP CAMP 2013

10th -13th October 2013

President University Youth Leadership Camp (PYLC) is President University Student Union’s National event that will invite Senior High School Students and First year college students around the country to prepare young generation. Established with purposes to be the place to enhance their leadership skill and other soft skill development such as public speaking, teamwork and more also there will be exciting activities such as Seminar, Workshop, social activity, games and outbond, class session, and the camp will end with Conference, forum to discuss about selected topic given and produce solution about the topic.

4. PresUniv Character Builder Training 2013!

16th November 2013

Youth is always indicated as the most active, eager, powerful, and cheerful stage in human life stages, in compare to child, adult, and elder. In this modern era, the environment has a very important role to build individual’s character, especially the youth. Most of the youth nowadays are starting to don’t care about character building, they easily lose their real identities. The problem can be solved by a great solution with modern technology that is called as Neuro Linguistic Program (NLP). The NLP title refers to a stated connection between the neurological processes ("neuro"), language ("linguistic"), and behavioral patterns that have been learned through experience ("programming") and can be organized to achieve specific goals inlife.

Ministry of Student Activity of President University Student Union has responsibility to supervise the Student Activity Unit in President University and promote the conducive situation that accommodate the student talents, potential and interests in Art, non-art and sport activities. The ministry will have the monthly meeting with clubs and communities as its regular function.

1. CLUB and COMMUNITY GATHERING

26th February

As there are many clubs and communities in PU, we will limit the number of clubs and communities to 3-4/ club. Therefore, the club gathering will be held on Friday so that the club so those members who choose to go back to their hometown on weekend can do so and those staying at the dorm might enjoy the event.

The club gathering is also held at dinner time and we provide the dinner so the club’s representatives can have dinner with us together. The event is simple and relaxing to attract the participation of the clubs.

The clubs need to be told as early as possible because it is held on Friday. This is to ensure that they have no other activities on that day.

2. Mr and Ms PRESIDENT UNIVERSITY 2013

8th April - 8th May

Mr and Ms President University is an internal event that looking for the new Campus Ambassadors. This annual event is made with purposes to find the ambassador who has responsible to promote our university. The elected Mr and Ms PU are required to have a good communication skill and fluent spoken English. Not only that, Mr and Ms PU also must have good attitude because they will be the new role models for student in university life. There will be exciting activities from the audition until the new ambassadors chosen.

3. GRANT OF HOPES

15th April - 21th September

Grant of Hopes is a charity event that will grant the wishes from the kids. Six wishes will be granted each month, the grants itself is categorized into several categories such as, education and entertainment. In addition, PUSU will also go to orphanage to share with people in needs.

4. SPORT OLYMPIAD PRESIDENT UNIVERSITY

27th May -29th June

SOPU (Student Olympic President University) is a one BIG FUN event which held yearly in PresUniv conducted by PUSU . In this year 2013, we estimate SOPU will be held on 20th May – 14th June 2013. We will spear this event into 3 main part. First, preparation 2 mount before event will start by FR team & treasurer , PR team, Secretariat team & Secretary and SRD team to focus in find all resource to held this event. Second, in main event EO team, EQP team, Decoration team, Guard team, Transportation team and Health team will do this event, opening ceremony until closing ceremony, also helped by the other team. Third, evaluation of SOPU 2013 will held 2 days after SOPU 2013 finish.

5. PRESIDENT UNIVERSITY IDOL & SONG WRITING

30th Oct - 6th November

PresUniv Idol and Song writing are two events who have 1 parent in committee which has different objectives. PresUniv Idol is the event which designed to find the best singer in University, this year we hope as committee to present the winner a recording. Song writing is the event to support Presuniv idol to have their own jingle.

6. CLUB AWARD & DECREE

20th November

An annual event which is run by PUSU to give the achievement for the clubs that have worked hard for a year and the legalization for some communities that have fulfilled the requirements to become the clubs in President University.

Ministry of Communication of PUSU is PUSU’s Official custodian for all communication activities within organization, inter-student organization, and with external organization and students in President University, the regular function of Ministry of Communications are:

· Maintain the PUSU Event Master Plan Board.

· Maintain PUSU Board.

· Create PUSU Handbook.

· Spreading PUSU Information to student.

· Maintain PUSU website and social network

· Conducting Communication Forum with Clubs and Communities

1. INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP WEEK

9th, 11th - 14th February

As the university with multicultural environment, the International Student must be respected and appreciated, International Friendship week is the one-week-event that purposed to involve international student to be closer and contribute to the extra-curricular activities.

2. PUSU PUSC GATHERING

22nd - 24th February

In order to make the new PUSC and PUSU member become more responsible and have a great team work, we would like to held the gathering of PUSC and PUSU. The goal of gathering is becoming the PUSC and PUSU member that have strong team working, responsible, and hard working and also to unite us as one big family.

3. OPEN HOUSE & EDU FAIR

20th February

Open house and edu fair training is an event training that help students in terms to enhance their knowledge about President University. Interested students will be further trained to become the person in charge in open house and edu fair training.

4. STUDY COMPARATIVE

September

In order to expand relation as well as gain information and knowledge about other student union, we will conduct the study comparative. The output of this study comparative is expected to be benefit for the development of organization.

5. PUSC PUSU FAREWELL

December

After a year be a great member in a great team of organization, we need a farewell to reflection our failure between partner and the time to thankful for one year teamwork. This farewell purpose to encounter our failure and to enhance our contributions to be a better person in the future.

I still remember on December 15th 2013 we were inaugurated in lobby A campus President University and was attend by our rector Dr. Chandra Setiawan, former board of PUSC and PUSU 2013 and of course all members of PUSC and PUSU that had been inaugurated. It give us spirit to take our responsibility to do our duties in one year period.

The slogan of PUSC and PUSU Inauguration 2014 is “Lead in harmony”, it is really so great and cool. The value of this slogan like simple sentence that are given by committee of this event but have a lot of value for all leaders (PUSU members 2014) to implement in our governing period 2014. Lead in harmony, have a great value for us to implement in holding our good relationship with all stakeholders in internal and external side of organization.
