    Hello PresUnivers!!

Year 2013 started and the new President University Student Union (PUSU) members have been chosen, right? Before the new PUSU officially work in the new period, it has to be legally inaugurated. Therefore, January 11th, 2013 was the day for the new PUSU’s members to be inaugurated along with PUSC (President University Student Council) and PUMA (President University Major Association). With the theme, “A Journey Begins”, we hope that the day of inauguration was the start for all PUSU, PUSC, and PUMA’s members to face the new experience waiting for them and to be able to do their jobs well in a year ahead.

The inauguration was attended by the Rector of President University, Dr. Chandra Setiawan, Ph.D; Vice Rector III, T. It was represented by the Head of PUMA Banking & Finance, Yoriko Yohanes, and led by the Dean of Management Study Program, Irfan Habsjah. The speech from PUMA was delivered by the Head of PUMA Accounting, Gideon Ericko Setiawan. After that, T. Hello PresUnivers!!

How was your 1st semester? Are you ready for the mid-term? While you’re preparing with your mid-term, I’ll inform you about PUSU’s first event, which is OMT.

So, do you know what OMT is? OMT is Organizational Management Training which is conducted by Self Development Ministry of PUSU. This year, OMT had a theme which was Youth Innovation Goes to Action. OMT was held with the purpose to introduce to clubs and communities about the new flow of proposal and finance at President University. We invited the representatives from each club and community at President University. OMT was held for 2 days, starting from Tuesday, 29th January 2013 and Wednesday, 30th of January.

The first day of OMT started at 4.30 pm in Charles Himawan Auditorium. This event was opened by the MC, which were Kerenhapukh and Lambartus Daniel and a speech from Bagas as the Project Manager.  The session continued with the introduction of the new members of PUSU 2013. The new flow of proposing proposals was explained by Gilang Agam Tirta Ardana and Iga Puspita Sari as the President and Vice President of PUSU 2013 before we had break. After the break, we had a fun ice-breaker. The session was followed by the socialization from Finance Department of Yayasan Pendidikan Universitas Presiden and the explanation from Minister of Secretary Cabinet, Annisa Amanda, about how to make a good and a correct proposal, then ended with the explanation of PUSU’s new system called Ministry’s Contribution. Ministry’s contribution is a form for PUSU 2013 members to maximize the contribution to club and communities.

The second day, we started the event at 2pm. We had an interesting agenda for the second day. We had a talk show from Young On Top Road Show and Billy Boen was the speaker. We had an interesting and inspiring talk show with Billy Boen. We talked about how we as the young generation to be innovative and succeed at the young age. The audiences showed a good response by asking some questions to the speaker. They seemed really interested with the topic and how Billy delivered it.

Overall, the OMT ran well and the enthusiasm from the audiences was amazing for the whole 2 days. We do hope the information that the club and communities got can be applied into their clubs and communities.
    Be RESPECT!

    Best Regards
